Sands, Streets & Sunsets –Our First Day in Jaisalmer.
Hello, I’m from Jaipur, Rajasthan. It was February 2022 when a few friends and I first talked about planning a trip to Jaisalmer. But as usual — especially with trip plans — things didn’t go as expected. What was supposed to be a spontaneous trip ended up taking a whole year to actually happen. Finally, after endless delays, we made it happen in February 2023. We were a group of five friends, including me. A day before the journey, we all got together and chalked out a rough plan for the trip. In the morning, we all got ready, but we actually took the train in the evening, covering the 700 km journey from Jaipur to Jaisalmer in about 12 hours . Arrival in "The Golden City" As we finally entered Jaisalmer, famously known as “The Golden City” of India , the first thing that hit us was the warm golden glow — everywhere.
